Feijoa fruit well in our subtropical Brisbane garden, however like most guava species, they are very prone to fruit fly attack. For this reason, it is generally the delicious petals that are our main crop from this tree. The petals can be eaten raw, plucked straight from the flower. They almost melt in your mouth and have a highly perfumed flavour.
